PHOTO: Lionel Messi's son knows how many Ballon d'Or awards his father has won

The older of Lionel Messi's sons is learning to count by virtue of his father's silverware.

At Monday's FIFA Ballon d'Or gala, Thiago, who is three years old, could be seen throwing up all five fingers on his right hand as Lionel collected his record fifth Ballon d'Or trophy.

Lionel previously captured the Ballon d'Or honour in 2012, 2011, and 2010, while also receiving the award in 2009, when it was referred to as the FIFA World Player of the Year.
