Anwar El Ghazi decides to represent the Netherlands
The Eredivisie's top scorer will feature for the Netherlands' national team.
On Friday, Anwar El Ghazi of Ajax was included in the Oranje's 28-man squad for its final pair of Euro 2016 qualifiers - a trip to Kazakhstan on Oct. 10 and a fixture at home to the Czech Republic on Oct. 13.
El Ghazi's inclusion ended the saga of his international future, as he's also eligible to represent Morocco. He tweeted about choosing the Netherlands, writing: "Very happy with my selection for the Oranje! With this, I have made my choice. I have thought very carefully about it and stand behind it 100 percent."
Through six Eredivisie appearances, El Ghazi has tallied a league-best seven goals as well as an assist, scoring almost every time he sets his sights on goal.
