Everton's Romelu Lukaku: Expected to play in Sunderland match
Lukaku travelled to Belgium to seek treatment for a calf injury, but is expected be available for next weekend's match with Sunderland. "We know that for 10 days Rom has had some problems with his calf," manager Ronald Koeman said on Thursday. "We expect him, normally, next Tuesday to be joining in the training session. He will be fit and available for the weekend."
Analysis:
Lukaku will benefit from rest while the rest of the Everton squad trains in Dubai. He has played in all 24 of Everton's Premier League matches this season, and could certainly use the rest.
