Mario Balotelli is back.

The revived Nice forward reclaimed a spot in Lucien Favre's squad for Thursday's trivial Europa League contest against FC Krasnodar after missing the past four matches with a calf injury.

His midweek return won't make a difference in European competition, with Nice already eliminated from the Europa League knockout stages, but it means he will have a chance to play against Paris Saint-Germain on the weekend.

The Cote d'Azur outfit travels to the Parc des Princes on Sunday with an opportunity to go seven points ahead of the reigning French champion.

Nice has fared well enough without Balotelli, getting goals from the likes of Alassane Plea and Younes Belhanda in the Italian's absence.

Before damaging his calf, Balotelli enjoyed a renaissance in form. With seven goals in nine appearances, the 26-year-old has so far surpassed expectations since leaving Liverpool in the summer.
