Marty Schottenheimer, LB, Bills (1965)
Schottenheimer can be viewed as the poster boy for an old rule from the AFL that had the champions participate in the Pro Bowl as a full team. The former linebacker made the annual showcase as a rookie seventh-round pick without starting a game for the Bills in 1965.

The third overall pick of the 2006 NFL Draft made the All-Star showcase as a rookie and again in his fourth season with the Titans. In 2009, he made the Pro Bowl despite playing in just 12 games and passing for 1,879 yards and 10 touchdowns with seven interceptions over 10 starts.

Matt Schaub, QB, Texans (2009, 2012)
Schaub's late-career reputation has caused many to forget what was a rather successful tenure as the starter for a young Texans franchise. He led the NFL in passing attempts, completions, and yards during his third year in Houston, and made it back to the Pro Bowl three years later after leading the Texans to a 12-4 record.

Derek Anderson, QB, Browns (2007)
Anderson, a sixth-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2005 draft, found success as a starter for the Browns three seasons later. He threw for 29 touchdowns while going 10-5 and made Pro Bowlers out of both Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow II.

Matt Cassel, QB, Chiefs (2010)
After leading the New England Patriots to a 10-5 record in place of an injured Tom Brady in 2008, Cassel was traded to the Chiefs the following offseason. It was in his second season in Kansas City that he again went 10-5 as the starter and made the Pro Bowl, throwing 27 touchdowns against just seven interceptions.

C.J. Spiller, RB, Bills (2012)
A once-promising ninth overall draft pick of the Bills, Spiller enjoyed his best year in 2012 - his second of just two full seasons he played over his eight-year career. The shifty, dual-threat back racked up 1,703 yards from scrimmage with eight total touchdowns while splitting the backfield with Fred Jackson.

Marion Barber, RB, Cowboys (2007)
Barber was selected to the Pro Bowl despite not starting a single game in 2007, his first season in which he amassed at least 200 rushing attempts. He moved into a starting role the following year but would never again replicate the production.

David Tyree, WR, Giants (2005)
Two years before the 'Helmet Catch,' David Tyree was a Pro Bowler.
The then-special teamer caught five of just nine targets for 52 yards and one touchdown as a wide receiver, however, he racked up 16 total tackles and blocked a kick.

LaRon Landry, S, Jets (2012)
Landry made it to a Pro Bowl before his first of three suspensions for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. The former sixth overall pick of the Washington Redskins set career highs in 2012 for total tackles (100) and forced fumbles (4).

Cody Parkey, K, Eagles (2014)
This won't help Chicago Bears fans any, but roughly four years before his missed kick against the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round, Parkey, then a member of the Eagles, was named to the Pro Bowl well before signing a four-year, $15-million contract with the Bears.
