Steelers get tricky

Things weren't going well for Pittsburgh's passing game in Super Bowl XL, so the Steelers sought help from QB-turned-WR Antwaan Randle El. He delivered a 43-yard touchdown dime to Hines Ward to extend their fourth-quarter lead over Seattle.

Giants go for it

With Denver up 10-9 in SB XXI, the Giants could've gone three-and-out to start the third quarter. However, Bill Parcells called a fake punt option on fourth-and-1 at his own 46-yard line. New York converted it on a QB sneak, scored on that drive, and never trailed again.

Surprise Onside

The Steelers needed a momentum change early in the fourth quarter in Super Bowl XXX, and they got it thanks to a gutsy onside kick call. Pittsburgh recovered it and scored minutes later. The Cowboys ultimately held on for a win, but that doesn't diminish coach Bill Cowher's boldness.

Cornerback Deon Figures scooped up the onside kick with 11:20 left in the game and Pittsburgh trailing 20-10. The Steelers scored a touchdown minutes later, trimming their deficit to three points, but weren't able to get on the board again in the contest.

The Philly Special

Not only did coach Doug Pederson go for it on fourth-and-goal with seconds left in the first half, but he let Philly run an epic trick play in SB LII. Corey Clement took the snap and gave the ball to tight end Trey Burton, who then tossed a TD to quarterback Nick Foles, helping the Eagles defeat the Patriots.

Ambush

Everyone watching SB XLIV was ready to see the Peyton Manning-led Colts take the field as the Saints lined up to kick off the second half. But Sean Payton flipped the script by calling an onside kick. The Saints, down 10-6 at the time, recovered it and went on to win their first Lombardi Trophy with a 31-17 triumph.
