Our list begins with an iconic Canadian throwback. The Nordiques haven't been a team in 26 years, but there's a reason the club's look has stood the test of time. 

Red, white, and blue is by no means a unique color combination, but Quebec's scheme used different shades than the club's peers and it popped. Combine the color palette with a fascinating logo and a fleur-de-lis border and suddenly you have one of the NHL's most classic looks.

Anaheim made a terrible mistake by ditching the eggplant and jade for its drab current getup. Permanently reverting to the retro style, or at least modernizing the Mighty Ducks era, would be a unanimous hit. 

The NHL's oldest and most successful franchise has looked the part the whole time. Nothing tops the timelessness of le bleu, blanc, et rouge.

Nothing beats the Canadiens' reds - they'll never change and they'll never need to. This is the quintessential hockey jersey design, highlighted by the signature blue stripe and untouchable logo. No one does tradition like the Habs.
