J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ohio State

Quarterback Justin Fields also deserves consideration, but Ohio State's offense ultimately runs through Dobbins. He's been on an absolute tear over the last three weeks. Ask Northwestern how quickly he can take over a game.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

Tagovailoa's stock could drop depending on his recovery from ankle surgery, but for now, he's still a prime contender. The Miami Dolphins appear to be tanking the NFL season with him in mind.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma

Hurts passed his biggest test of the season with flying colors, totaling four touchdowns in a win over Texas in the Red River Showdown. It doesn't look like any Big 12 team is capable of slowing him and the Sooners down.

Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

Wisconsin's loss to lowly Illinois won't help Taylor's case, but his production can't be denied. Even in the stunning defeat, he scampered for 132 yards and a score. Taylor's eclipsed 100 yards rushing in six of seven outings this season.

Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

LSU is typically forced to overcome its struggling quarterbacks. This year, however, the Tigers are winning because of their pivot. Burrow is putting up gaudy numbers weekly and has led LSU to top-10 wins over Texas and Florida.
