Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

Faced with his toughest test to date, Fields led the Buckeyes to a convincing win over Michigan State on Saturday. As Heisman contenders often do, the Georgia transfer rebounded from a slow start and added three touchdowns to his absurd early-season total. Ohio State is the team to beat in the Big Ten.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma

In what was an off performance by his standards, Hurts still totaled 284 yards and four touchdowns against Kansas, once again displaying elite abilities as a passer and rusher. A productive game in next week's Red River Showdown would go a long way in cementing his status as a Heisman favorite.

Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

Burrow continued his hot start in Week 6, causing fits for Utah State defenders with his excellent decision-making and pinpoint accuracy. The LSU passer looks likes a different player this year, averaging 11.5 yards per attempt (third in FBS) and brought his touchdown total up to 24 in five games.

Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

After dominating two Big Ten squads, Taylor had his way with Kent State, accumulating 215 total yards and five scores. The junior rusher leads all players with 16 touchdowns from scrimmage across five games. Taylor combines incredible burst with impressive tackle-breaking skills. He can't be stopped.

It's awesome, it never gets old. I know it, we know it. He's special. To be able to see it, it's pretty neat to do.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

Tagovailoa leads all quarterbacks in yards per attempt and passing touchdowns despite the Crimson Tide not playing in Week 6. Tua has yet to throw an interception and is fully in command of his dynamic offense. Alabama's schedule gets tough in a hurry, but we still expect the lefty to thrive thanks to his unique playmaking ability.
