Webb Simpson

Simpson has missed one cut since the beginning of last July. He’s gained strokes tee-to-green in five of his past six tournaments while riding a smoking-hot putter.

Hideki Matsuyama

At Royal Portrush, Matsuyama missed the cut for the first time since the 2018 Open. His ball-striking has returned to the form that lifted him inside the top three in the world in 2017.

Patrick Cantlay

Cantlay didn’t threaten last week at The Open but there’s no reason to believe that streak will continue in Tennessee. His driving ability will put him in great spots to make birdies all week.

Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau was on fire before showing up at Royal Portrush, where he exited Friday. However, he’s always struggled in majors and tends to light up these Tour stops that reward length off the tee.

Jon Rahm

Rahm was in the hunt for most of the Open Championship and could be a little drained after a grueling week in Northern Ireland. However, even a tired Rahm can come out and win in Memphis.

Xander Schauffele

Three of Schauffele's four career wins came in no-cut events, including the WGC Champions event in China this season. Expect him to be in contention again.

Brooks Koepka

Koepka’s motivation in non-majors will always be a concern. However, he could be focused on the $10-million FedEx Cup prize, which would become even more attainable with a WGC win.

Rory McIlroy

McIlroy will look to erase the memory of last week’s missed cut with a solid effort at TPC Southwind. In his last four starts after missing a cut, he has two wins and a runner-up.

Dustin Johnson

Johnson won at TPC Southwind last year, although it wasn’t a WGC event. Still, his impressive history at the course is encouraging as he looks to collect a seventh WGC title.

Justin Thomas

Thomas is trending toward a victory coming off two strong results in Europe. He’s in great form to defend last year's title, even though the tournament was played at a different course.
