Nearly seven months - and only two goals - after joining AS Roma from CSKA Moscow, Seydou Doumbia is returning to the Russian Premier League.

Back in January, the Italian club signed Doumbia from CSKA, paying €14.4 million for the striker along with €1.5 million in bonuses. Monday, the Russian club announced the forward will head back to the familiar surroundings of the Arena Khimki on loan until the end of 2015, with a possibility of prolonging the loan until the end of the season.

Doumbia, who's regarded as a flop at the Stadio Olimpico, will take the pitch at CSKA wearing the No. 88 that he donned prior to his transfer to Roma.
