Manchester City have relaunched their attempt to sign Joao Cancelo from Juventus.

It's understood the Premier League champions are offering Danilo as part of a deal that Juventus would consider if City meets their €60-million (£54 million) valuation for the full-back, according to Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian.

City were previously linked to a move for the Portuguese international in June, with reports suggesting that club officials were in advanced negotiations.

It was reported at the time that City expected to pay around €49 million (£45 million) and were reluctant to meet Juve's valuation.

Cancelo's potential signing would create competition for regular playing time with right-back Kyle Walker, who signed a two-year contract extension in June.

Cancelo arrived at Juventus from Valencia for €40.4 million in 2018, helping the club win its eighth successive league title by making 28 Serie A appearances last term.

However, Juventus appear determined to offload some assets because finding playing time for the plethora of talented players on manager Maurizio Sarri's squad would become difficult.

Meanwhile, Danilo's days at City are apparently numbered following a disappointing season at the Etihad Stadium in which he only made 13 Premier League appearances during the team's title run.
