Diego Perotti saved the day. On multiple fronts.
The Argentine's ferocious 90th-minute goal on Sunday gave Roma a dramatic 3-2 victory over Genoa in the club's final Serie A match of the season, the result ensuring the Giallorossi pipped Napoli to second place in the table, and thus grabbed an automatic berth in next season's Champions League group stage.
It also means that club icon Francesco Totti's 786th (and final) appearance for Roma will go down in the history books as a victory.
