Few know the madness of March better than reigning WNBA MVP and Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart, who capped each of her four seasons at UConn with national championships from 2013-16.

Stewart took issue with a tweet posted on Monday by the "NCAA March Madness" Twitter account, which decried the absence of NCAA Tournament games until later in the week. Stewart noted there were in fact eight games slated for Monday - as part of the women's March Madness tournament.

As one Twitter user pointed out, the profile page for the "NCAA March Madness" account specifies that it covers men's basketball news. Stewart countered that "March Madness" is used in reference to both the men's and women's tournaments.

There is a separate account, "NCAA WBB," that specifically covers women's college basketball. Other than specific references to the men's tournament, that account has not used the phrase "March Madness" in a tweet since 2015.

When Hall of Fame college basketball broadcaster Dick Vitale commended Stewart for her courage, the 24-year-old reaffirmed her position.

"It needed to be said," she tweeted, "and will continue to be until we are given the treatment we deserve!"
