The Buffalo Bills are closing in on a trade for Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

However, multiple outlets are denying a trade is imminent. Shortly after the initial report, one league source informed Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News that no deal is imminent and another called it "unlikely." John Wawrow of the AP is "firmly reporting" nothing is imminent.

Brown also took to social media to shoot down the report.

The Steelers were reportedly seeking top offers from clubs with an intent to reach a deal by Friday.

Buffalo owned one of the weakest receiving corps in the NFL in 2018. The Bills finished second-last in passing, averaging 174.6 yards through the air per game, and no receiver topped 700 receiving yards for the year.

Zay Jones led the Bills with 56 receptions for 652 yards and seven touchdowns.

Brown, meanwhile, has eclipsed 1,200 receiving yards and 100 catches in every season since 2013. He led all wideouts in receiving touchdowns in 2018 with 15.

In the event of a trade to Buffalo, Brown would leave an offense run by two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger to join one led by a sophomore passer in Josh Allen. Allen completed 52 percent of his passes in his rookie season, throwing 10 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions in his 12 games at the helm.

Brown wouldn't have to wait long to see his former Steelers teammates. The Bills travel to Pittsburgh in 2019.

He may even have foreshadowed this potential move in 2012:
