Philadelphia 76ers general manager Bryan Colangelo remains steadfast in denying the bombshell report claiming he may operate up to five incriminating burner accounts on Twitter.

Colangelo told Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports that "someone's out to get me," and the accounts which surfaced in the report were "clearly not me."

The report itself did not conclude that the five accounts belong to Colangelo, but there were several circumstances at play. The accounts followed a similar pattern of behavior, interacted closely with people within Colangelo's circle, and three of them suddenly became private after the findings were first presented to Colangelo.

On Wednesday evening, some more online sleuthing revealed that Colangelo's wife, Barbara Bottini, may actually be behind the burner accounts.

The Sixers announced Wednesday an investigation has been launched into the situation. The organization said in a statement that the accusations were "serious" and it would release results as soon as it reaches a conclusion.

Several incriminating details were revealed through the five alleged secret accounts, including private information about the health of Philadelphia's players and possible trades the Sixers were planning to execute.

Furthermore, some of the comments made would severely damage the Sixers' relationships with Joel Embiid and Markelle Fultz, as well as Raptors president Masai Ujiri (who succeeded Colangelo in Toronto) and former Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie.
