Shaq 'had a big hand in starting' *NSYNC's career
Contrary to what Google claimed earlier this week, Shaquille O'Neal was never a member of *NSYNC. However, he did play a role in launching their career.
Lance Bass, one of the five members behind the chart-topping boy band, was asked about the Google glitch Monday and said the group owes some of their success to Shaq for allowing them to record in his Orlando-area mansion.
"I mean, a lot of people don't know, Shaquille had a big hand in starting our career," Bass told TMZ Sports. "We lived in Orlando and our first place that we recorded at was his house. All of our first demos, first songs were all from Shaq's house. So yeah, he had a hand in creating us."

The story was confirmed by Shaq before Game 4 of the Western Conference finals between the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.
