"The Black Mamba" could be trying to stir the pot, or perhaps he truly believes the NBA's current king is a notch below him.

Former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant doesn't like many tweets - just 59, in fact - but the latest one may raise eyebrows given it suggested he's "more skilled" than LeBron James.

Now in his 15th season in the Association, James has defied Father Time by putting up some of the best numbers of his career while averaging the most minutes of any player during both the regular season and playoffs.

The four-time Most Valuable Player is currently averaging 34.3 points on 55.3 percent shooting, 9.4 rebounds, nine assists, 1.5 steals, and a rejection in 41.4 minutes during this postseason for the Cavaliers. The upcoming series with the Boston Celtics also marks his eighth straight appearance in the conference finals.

Bryant - who retired in 2016 - has a new show for ESPN+ called "Detail" in which he analyzes the respective games of select players, with his latest episode previewing the upcoming Cavaliers-Celtics series. The aforementioned tweet came as part of a thread promoting the video.

There's no denying Bryant's and James' places in the annals of basketball history, and while it's a hot debate as to who the more skilled player is, Bryant seemingly isn't ready to rank James ahead of himself in that department.

Or maybe his finger slipped and he liked the tweet by accident. Who knows?
