Kobe: Winning Oscar feels better than winning a championship
He might be retired, but Kobe Bryant is still racking up the honors on the international stage.
The Los Angeles Lakers legend had quite the night on Sunday, as he won an Academy Award in the Best Animated Short Film category for "Dear Basketball."
While the award was certainly shocking, Bryant's comments after the presentation will likely end up grabbing the headlines.
"I feel better than winning a championship, to be honest with you," Bryant said, as per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press. "I swear I do."
Bryant won five NBA titles during his time with the Lakers and took home MVP in two of those series. He's one of the most successful basketball players in the history of the game, but when it comes to the most satisfying title, it seems it's the one he claimed Sunday.
