The Association of Tennis Professionals says it didn't find sufficient evidence to support American Donald Young's claim that Ryan Harrison directed racist remarks toward him Monday at the New York Open.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, the ATP says it interviewed people in close proximity to the players during the match, and checked the audio recording - which "did not pick up verbal exchanges between the players."

Here's the full statement:

The ATP conducted a full investigation into this week's match at the New York Open between Ryan Harrison and Donald Young. All available evidence was reviewed, including match footage and interviews with match officials and other tournament personnel who were in close proximity of the players. Unfortunately, the audio recording on the match footage did not pick up verbal exchanges between the players. At this time, no evidence was found to support the allegation that Ryan Harrison used a racial slur during the match.

Harrison won the match against Young 6-3, 7-6 (4), and then vehemently denied Young's allegations.
