The Houston Rockets lost a couple of key rotation players for two games after the NBA suspended Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green on Wednesday for their part in Monday night's mayhem.

What was surprising to the Rockets is the Los Angeles Clippers avoided any disciplinary action from the league, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon. Houston believes Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers played an integral role in escalating the situation.

According to the report, "The Rockets are adamant that Griffin intentionally made contact with Mike D'Antoni moments before a heated confrontation between the Houston coach and Clippers star forward."

Sources also claim that after the game, Rivers was yelling profane comments in the Clippers locker room at a volume loud enough for Ariza to hear him, causing him to confront the guard.

Ariza and Green were the only players to be disciplined following Monday's game.
