Bisping turns down Belfort fight

Michael Bisping emphatically shut down any possibility of a rematch with Vitor Belfort.

Belfort recently expressed a desire to finish his career by fighting Bisping in London and added that the UFC offered a contract for the fight, but the 38-year-old is not interested.

"I'm not fighting Vitor Belfort in London. I'm not fighting Vitor Belfort in London. I am not fighting Vitor Belfort in London. One hundred percent, I'm not fighting him. Zero percent chance," Bisping said on his podcast, per Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting.

Belfort was scheduled to retire after fighting Uriah Hall on Sunday, but the fight fell through after Hall missed weigh-ins due to a health issue. Bisping also plans to call time on his career after one more bout, and he doesn't want it to come against a man he claims has a history of steroid use.

When the two middleweights fought in 2013, Belfort dropped Bisping with a second-round head kick. The impact left Bisping with a detached retina in his right eye which led to numerous surgeries. It's believed Belfort was granted an exemption for testosterone replacement therapy ahead of the fight.

"My eye is a mess and it was Vitor Belfort that did it and he was roided out of his mind," Bisping said on his podcast. "He's a known drug cheat. I don't like the guy. I find him to be a hypocrite. It's his last fight and he's probably going to juice like crazy again anyways because who gives a f---."

Bisping would prefer his final opponent to be someone who wouldn't incite such bitter feelings.

"This is my - if I fight in London - it's my last-ever fight ... I don't want it to be some bitter rivalry with a guy that has caused me lasting disfigurement and that I'm emotionally charged up against," he said.

Belfort has since learned the proposed bout was shut down and he took to Instagram to share his disappointment.
