Lundqvist sets NHL record with 13th straight 20-win season
NEW YORK, NY - JANUARY 16: Henrik Lundqvist #30 of the New York Rangers makes the kick save during the third period against the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden on January 16, 2018 in New York City. The Rangers defeated the Flyers 5-1. With the victory Lundqvist recirded his 424th NHL win and passed Tony Espoito by moving into 8th place all time.

Henrik Lundqvist has achieved a feat no other goalie before him ever has.

With a near-perfect performance on Tuesday night, turning away 25 of 26 shots thrown his way by the Philadelphia Flyers, the New York Rangers netminder became the first goalie in league history to record 20 wins in 13 consecutive seasons, according to NHL Public Relations.

With win No. 20 under his belt, Lundqvist also becomes just the sixth goaltender to record 13 or more 20-win campaigns.

After a shaky 2016-17 season, Lundqvist has returned to his career form, having gone 20-11-4 with a 2.54 GAA and a .924 save percentage.
