Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry was carried off the court by teammates after taking a hard fall in overtime of Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

He was diagnosed with an acute back spasm and will be re-evaluated Tuesday, the team announced.

Lowry was hammered in midair by Nets guard Joe Harris while battling for a rebound. He was then undercut by Quincy Acy on the landing and came down extremely hard on his back. He tried to get up at least three times, but was apparently unable to put weight on one side of his body.

The 31-year-old Lowry has appeared in all 38 games for the Raptors this season, but has dealt with back issues in the past - most notably in 2015, when he missed nine games on the eve of the playoffs.

Lowry had 18 points, five rebounds, and 11 assists before leaving in overtime. The Raptors picked up the slack in his absence, coming away with a hotly contested 114-113 win.
