Twins trade Jax to Rays for Bradley

The Minnesota Twins traded right-handed reliever Griffin Jax to the Tampa Bay Rays for right-handed starter Taj Bradley, the teams announced Thursday.
Jax, 30, is posting a 4.50 ERA and 2.00 FIP over 46 innings across 50 appearances this season. The righty was considered one of the top arms on the market this trade deadline, posting an elite 36.4% strikeout rate and 6.6% walk rate while working as Minnesota's high-leverage reliever.
Bradley, 24, was recently optioned by the Rays amid a tough campaign, authoring a 4.61 ERA and 4.20 FIP over 111 1/3 innings.
The righty showed promise over his first two years in the majors, recording a 27.3% strikeout rate and 8.3% walk rate over 252 2/3 innings, with 46 starts and a pair of relief appearances.
