The Calgary Flames selected center Cole Reschny with the 18th overall pick at Friday's NHL draft.

Reschny suited up for the Victoria Royals in the WHL this season, racking up 92 points in 62 games. He's committed to the University of North Dakota in 2025-26.

The 5-foot-11 forward elevated his game in the WHL playoffs, notching nine goals and 16 assists in 11 games. Reschny then made a strong impact with Canada at the Under-18s, where he played a pivotal role in helping his country capture a gold medal.

Reschny entered the draft as the 25th-ranked North American skater, according to Central Scouting.
