Pavel Dorofeyev seems set to check into the Vegas Golden Knights' second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers for the first time.

The winger is expected to suit up in Game 3 on Saturday night, head coach Bruce Cassidy announced, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Dorofeyev missed the previous three contests with an undisclosed injury. He didn't play in overtime during Vegas' Game 5 victory over the Minnesota Wild and was sidelined for the series clincher two days later.

He led the Golden Knights with 35 goals in 82 games during the regular season while ranking fifth with 52 points.

However, it wasn't all good news for Vegas on Saturday, as defenseman Brayden McNabb and veteran forward Brandon Saad will be unavailable for Game 3. Both players are day-to-day.

McNabb was injured on an unpenalized trip from Oilers forward Viktor Arvidsson during Vegas' overtime loss in Game 2, though Cassidy said the rearguard travelled to Edmonton, per The Athletic's Jesse Granger.

He's logged three assists in these playoffs and averaged 21:14 of ice time while being a key fixture on the penalty kill.

Kaedan Korczak will draw in on the blue line in McNabb's absence.

Saad saw 16:11 of ice time in Game 2 and has chipped in with two assists this postseason.

The Golden Knights are down 0-2 in their series against the Oilers. Game 3 is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET.
