The Los Angeles Dodgers are promoting infielder Hyseong Kim to their major-league roster Saturday during their weekend series against the Atlanta Braves, the club announced.

Los Angeles signed Kim to a three-year, $12.5-million deal out of the KBO League during the offseason.

The Dodgers placed Tommy Edman on the injured list with right ankle inflammation in a corresponding roster move.

Kim, 26, spent spring training with the Dodgers and recorded six hits in 29 at-bats. He's been playing at Triple-A Oklahoma, where he managed a 105 wRC+ with 13 stolen bases in 28 games.

His first appearance will be his major-league debut. Chris Taylor is starting Saturday's game at second base.

The Dodgers entered Saturday with an MLB-best 22-10 record.
