Jalen Brunson wins Clutch Player of the Year
New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson was named Clutch Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season, the NBA announced Wednesday.
Brunson ranked second with 156 points scored this campaign in clutch time, which is defined as situations when the game's scoring margin is within five points during the final five minutes of regulation. Brunson averaged an NBA-best 5.6 points and shot 51.5% from the field per game in clutch time, leading the Knicks to a 17-11 record in those moments.
The two-time All-Star won the award over Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards.

Brunson averaged 26 points, 7.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds this season for the Knicks, who are tied 1-1 in their first-round series against the Detroit Pistons.
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry won the award last year, and former Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox took home the inaugural trophy in 2023.
