Baylor guard VJ Edgecombe declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, the school announced Sunday.

Edgecombe is projected to be a top-five pick after averaging 15 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in his lone season with the Bears. He shot 43.6% from the field and 34% from three.

The 6-foot-5 Edgecombe earned All-Big 12 team honors and was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year for his efforts.

He started all 33 games for Baylor as the program finished the campaign 20-15 overall.

The 19-year-old then shined in the NCAA Tournament. He posted 14 points in the Round of 64 win over Mississippi State before dropping 16 points and six rebounds when Baylor fell to Duke in the Round of 32.
