Mac McClung is excited at the possibility of Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant and other stars taking part in next year's NBA Slam Dunk contest.

McClung, fresh off claiming his record-setting third straight dunk contest crown, told TMZ Sports that the participation of players like Morant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Zach Lavine, and Aaron Gordon would be good for the event.

"It excites me for the contest," McClung said. "I really love the contest, and I think it deserves those guys, and it's such a beautiful weekend. I'd love to see those guys out there."

Morant teased a possible dunk contest appearance following McClung's most recent win, tweeting "Mac might make me decide to dunk" and challenging Lavine and Gordon to join him. Both players appear open to the idea, as does Antetokounmpo.

McClung said before All-Star Weekend that the 2025 dunk contest would be his last, but told TMZ that he won't entirely rule out the possibility of returning in the future.
