A record number of viewers tuned in for the Super Bowl LIX halftime show.

Kendrick Lamar's performance drew 133.5-million viewers, making it the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history, Fox Sports announced Tuesday. That number breaks the previous record of 133.4-million viewers for Michael Jackson's Super Bowl XXVII halftime performance in 1993, according to Margaret Fleming of Front Office Sports.

Lamar's 13-minute set featured hits like "Humble," "DNA," and "Not Like Us," along with appearances by SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, and Serena Williams.

The game itself also set a new Super Bowl viewership record with an average audience of 127.7 million across all platforms, breaking the previous mark of 123.7-million average viewers for Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 on Sunday to capture the franchise's second Super Bowl championship.
