Veteran reliever Tim Hill returned to the New York Yankees on a one-year contract, the team announced.

Hill's deal is worth $2.85 million, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan. The contract will reportedly pay him a $2.5-million base salary in 2025 and includes a club option for 2026 worth $3 million with a $350,000 buyout.

Hill, 34, returns to New York after impressing in pinstripes. He pitched to a career-best 2.05 ERA (202 ERA+) and 1.02 WHIP in 44 innings after being acquired midseason from the Chicago White Sox.

The lefty allowed just one earned run across 10 appearances during the postseason for the AL-champion Yankees.

Hill has also pitched for the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres during his seven-year MLB career.
