The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have promoted pass game coordinator Josh Grizzard to be their offensive coordinator, the club announced Friday.

The 34-year-old replaces Liam Coen, who left the organization to be the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach Jan. 24. Coen had agreed on a contract extension to become the league's highest-paid coordinator with Tampa Bay before leaving the organization a couple of days later.

Grizzard joined the Buccaneers last season after spending seven years with the Miami Dolphins in various offensive roles, including wide receivers coach. He'll be the team's fourth offensive coordinator in four seasons.

Tampa Bay's offense was one of the strongest in the league under Coen. The team finished third in passing yards per game and fourth in rushing yards per contest. The Buccaneers lost 23-20 in the wild-card round to the Washington Commanders after finishing 10-7.
