Liam Coen is taking himself out of the running for the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coaching job to remain the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Coen is signing a new contract with Tampa Bay that will make him one of the NFL's highest-paid coordinators, Schefter reports.

The 39-year-old was scheduled for an in-person interview with the Jaguars Wednesday, according to the Tampa Bay Times' Rick Stroud.

Coen began his NFL coaching career in 2018 as the Los Angeles Rams' assistant wide receivers coach. His first role as an offensive coordinator was with Kentucky in 2021. He spent 2022 as the Rams' OC before returning to Kentucky in 2023 and then joining the Bucs last offseason.

The Jaguars are scheduled to have second interviews with Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh this week, according to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones.
