The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a one-year, $10-million deal with outfielder Max Kepler, the team announced Friday.

Kepler slashed .253/.302/.380 with eight home runs and 42 RBIs in his 10th season with the Minnesota Twins in 2024.

The German's best season came in 2019 when he slugged a career-high 36 home runs and drove in 90. He enjoyed a strong campaign in 2023, going deep 24 times while posting the second-best OPS (.816) of his career.

The 31-year-old owns a .746 OPS (102 OPS+) across nine seasons.

Phillies general manager Dave Dombrowski said Kepler will play left field, according to Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer. He's predominantly been a right fielder throughout his decade-long career but has MLB experience playing center as well as first base.
