The Chicago Sky hired Las Vegas Aces assistant coach and head of player development Tyler Marsh as the franchise's next head coach, his agent told ESPN's Bobby Marks, Alexa Philippou, and Andraya Carter.

Marsh won back-to-back WNBA championships in 2022 and 2023 as part of the Aces' staff.

He also served as an assistant/player development coach with the Indiana Pacers from 2020-22 and as an assistant video coordinator and player development coach with the Toronto Raptors during their championship run in 2019.

Marsh will be tasked with bringing the Sky back to prominence after finishing 13-27 last season. Chicago parted ways with WNBA legend Teresa Weatherspoon in September.

Before hiring Marsh, the Sky reportedly talked with former Los Angeles Sparks head coach Curt Miller and former Connecticut Sun bench boss Stephanie White, who the Indiana Fever hired Friday.

Marsh also interviewed with the Atlanta Dream, sources told Khristina Williams of Girls Talk Sports TV.
