New York Jets edge rusher Haason Reddick turned down a revamped one-year offer that would've included a significant raise from his current contract, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The deal was negotiated by his former agency, CAA, who decided to part ways with the pass-rusher this week. The contract was constructed so Reddick could earn back the fines he was incurring for sitting out and then have the opportunity to cash in on a long-term deal in 2025.

However, the 30-year-old is adamant on signing a multi-year contract now so declined. There is no long-term deal on the table, and this situation has no end in sight, Rapoport reports.

Reddick is still under a three-year, $45-million contract he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. He was supposed to earn $14.25 million this season. New York acquired the veteran for a conditional third-round pick from Philadelphia this offseason, but he requested a trade from the Jets after failing to agree on a long-term deal in August.

The Temple product continues to be on the hook for millions in fines while holding out. He must report by Week 13 to register an accrued season or his current contract extend to the next campaign.

Reddick has 27 sacks and five forced fumbles over his last 34 contests.
