Former Italy and AC Milan centre-back Alessandro Nesta will take over next season as coach of Serie A's Monza, the club announced on Wednesday.
Nesta, 48, replaces Raffaele Palladino at the helm of the outfit who finished 12th in the Italian top flight last season.
The 2006 World Cup winner will once again be working with Adriano Galliani, who was Milan vice-president during Silvio Berlusconi's trophy-laden spell.
Nesta started his coaching career with second-tier Miami in the U.S. before leading Reggiana to 11th place in Serie B last season.
