Osasuna coach Jagoba Arrasate said Tuesday he will leave the Spanish club at the end of the season after six years at the helm.

"I have taken the decision not to renew with Osasuna, it's a complicated decision but I am calm, at peace with myself," Arrasate, 45, told a news conference.

"It's not a goodbye, we're immersed in a competition, there are still nine games left and that will come later."

Arrasate, appointed by Osasuna in 2018, helped the Pamplona side earn promotion to La Liga in his first season in charge.

"I don't have the conviction that I had before and if I'm not convinced about everything, I'm not happy, and if I am not happy, it's hard to get the best from the team," he added.

Osasuna, beaten by Real Madrid in last season's Copa del Rey final, are 12th in La Liga.
