Giannis Antetokounmpo did his all, but it wasn't enough to get the win.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar recorded 54 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists, but the Indiana Pacers prevailed to win 126-124 on Thursday.

Milwaukee, without the injured Damian Lillard, was outscored 18-7 in the final five minutes. Antetokounmpo committed two costly turnovers late in the fourth quarter.

Antetokounmpo's performance was still good enough to set a new mark for most points by an individual player this season, surpassing Zach LaVine's 51 points against the Detroit Pistons. The Bucks star was one point off from his career high of 55 points and three from the franchise record.

Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton spurred the late comeback, recording 29 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds for Indiana. He sank a late 3-pointer to give his squad the lead.

Antetokounmpo is the first player in NBA history to lose a game while recording 50 points, at least a 75% field-goal shooting percentage, and 10 rebounds, according to ESPN's Stats & Info.

Indiana improves to 6-3 on the season, while Milwaukee drops to 5-3. The Bucks will travel to Orlando for a contest against the Magic on Saturday, while the Pacers face the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.
