Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts isn't taking any chances with ghosts during the team's road trip in Milwaukee.

While the rest of his team booked in at the infamous Pfister Hotel this week, Betts told Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register that he opted to stay with friends at an Airbnb "just in case" the ghost stories about the building are true.

"It was a good excuse (not to stay there)," Betts said.

The Pfister Hotel, which opened in 1893, has a reputation for being haunted. A number of MLB players have shared stories over the years about their spooky experiences at the hotel, including Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper, who said he awoke to find his clothes on the floor and a table moved across the room.

Betts said he has stayed at the Pfister before, but he didn't have the best sleep there.

"I couldn't sleep," he said. "Every noise, I'd be like, 'Is that something?'"
