Jessica Korda announced Tuesday that she is out for the remainder of the season with a back injury.

"Playing anything further would have made my recovery a lot longer, so per doctor recommendation and talking to my team, we've decided that this is the right call," the six-time LPGA Tour winner said.

Korda added she expects to be back "healthier and stronger" for next season.

The 29-year-old is currently ranked No. 16 on the Rolex World Rankings and No. 32 on the LPGA's Race to the CME Globe.

There are two tournaments left in the season - the Pelican Women's Championship this week and then the CME Group Tour Championship set to start Nov. 17. Both events are hosted in Korda's home state of Florida, and her younger sister, Nelly, is the defending champion at the Women's Championship.

The older Korda turned professional in December 2010 and has become a regular contender on the LPGA Tour over the years. She's played on the U.S. Solheim Cup team on three occasions and golfed alongside her sister at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
