The Detroit Pistons will likely waive former All-Star point guard Kemba Walker before Monday’s league deadline to set regular-season rosters, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and James Edwards III.

Cutting Walker would bring the Pistons' roster to 15 guaranteed spots.

Walker didn't attend training camp or play in preseason games while the two sides attempted to find a resolution, Edwards reports.

Detroit acquired the four-time All-Star alongside Memphis center Jalen Duren, the 13th pick, via a draft-night trade with the New York Knicks.

Walker had career lows in games, points, and assists last season for the Knicks. He totaled 11.6 points and 3.5 assists in 37 games.

The 11-year veteran spent eight seasons with the Charlotte Hornets. Walker leads the franchise in points with 12,009.
