Sergei Pavlovich scored the biggest win of his career at UFC 277, defeating Derrick Lewis via TKO at the 0:55 mark of the first round in a heavyweight bout Saturday in Dallas.

The early stoppage didn't sit well with Lewis and his home-state fans. The 37-year-old was on his feet almost immediately after the call was made and protested it.

"I was ready to punch him for five rounds, for three rounds, it doesn't matter," Pavlovich said postfight, according to MMA Fighting's Damon Martin. "How do you like that boxing? I did my job. I'm very happy with my performance."

Pavlovich, who entered Saturday's event as the No. 11-ranked heavyweight, has now won his last four fights.

Lewis, the No. 5 heavyweight, dropped his second straight after losing to Tai Tuivasa in February in Houston. The 37-year-old has lost his last three fights in Texas.
