Sebastian Munoz fired a course-record 12-under 60 at TPC Craig Ranch on Thursday to grab the first-round lead at the Byron Nelson.

Munoz broke the previous mark of 62 set by Sam Burns last year.

The Colombian's score also matches the lowest round of his PGA TOUR career after his 60 at the RSM Classic earlier this season.

He's the first player in TOUR history to record two rounds of 60 or better in a single season.

Munoz eagled both the par-5 9th and 12th holes on Thursday for the second straight year at TPC Craig Ranch. Last time, he went on to shoot a 66.

The 29-year-old's pair of 60s this season has him tied with Tyler McCumber's score at the RSM Classic for the lowest round on TOUR so far this campaign.

Munoz's score Thursday also tied the 18-hole Byron Nelson record. Arron Oberholser (2006) and Keegan Bradley (2013) are the only other two players to shoot 60 at the event, doing so at Cottonwood Valley Golf Course and TPC Four Seasons, respectively.

Mito Pereira, Peter Malnati, Kyoung-Hoon Lee, and Justin Lower share a four-way tie for second place after they each fired 64s.
