Two-time Lotte champion Brooke Henderson has withdrawn from the tournament ahead of the second round with an illness, the LPGA announced Thursday on Twitter.

The Canadian shot a 2-over 74 during the first round of the Lotte Championship, which is being played in Oahu, Hawaii. She's one of five players, including Danielle Kang, to have withdrawn from the tournament since it began.

Henderson won the event in 2018 and 2019. With the latter victory, she tied the record (8) for most career wins by a Canadian on the LPGA or PGA TOUR. Henderson later broke that record with her 2019 victory at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
