After missing nearly two months due to injury, Bryson DeChambeau is set to make his return to the PGA TOUR. The top five players in the world have also all committed to the field, led by No. 1 Jon Rahm. Phil Mickelson, Cameron Smith, Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Sam Burns, and Harris English - all players inside the top 64 of the Official World Golf Rankings following The Players Championship - aren't in the field.

Horschel will be present to defend his title, while previous winners Kevin Kisner, Bubba Watson, and Dustin Johnson will also be in the field.

Notable groups

The pods for round-robin play were released Monday. Rahm drew match-play stalwart Patrick Reed - as well as rising star Cameron Young and Sebastian Munoz - in what should be a highly entertaining Group 1.

Scheffler, last year's runner-up, drew a trio of Englishmen: Matthew Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, and Ian Poulter.

The red-hot Justin Thomas is in a tough spot, drawing Kisner, who won the event in 2019 and finished runner-up in 2018. Marc Leishman and Luke List complete the group.

Austin Country Club is a 7,108-yard, par 71 course designed by Pete Dye. This will be the sixth time the Texas club hosts the event, which has seen winners of different golf styles come out on top. The club - which was originally founded in 1899 - took over from the previous tournament host in 2016.
