UFC 259 weigh-in results: Blachowicz, Adesanya cleared for title fight

Jan Blachowicz and Israel Adesanya made weight Friday ahead of their light heavyweight title fight scheduled for the UFC 259 main event Saturday in Las Vegas.

Blachowicz, the defending champion, weighed in at 205 pounds. Adesanya, the middleweight titleholder, tipped the scale at 200.5 pounds, which is the second-lightest weight for a light heavyweight title bout in UFC history, according to The Athletic's Shaun Al-Shatti.

Glover Teixeira, the backup fighter for the main event, also made weight at 204.5 pounds.

Co-headliners Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson were also on the mark ahead of their women's featherweight title bout. The champion came in at 145 pounds, and the challenger hit 144.5 pounds.

Bantamweight champ Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling also made weight, coming in at 135 and 134.5 pounds, respectively.
