The Miami Heat reopened their practice facility at American Airlines Arena for limited workouts Wednesday, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman.

With league rules limiting participants to four at a time, 12 players attended voluntary, socially distanced workouts, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. That constitutes all but five of the Heat players currently under NBA contract.

"It's been so long since we've had the opportunity to smile collectively like that, even if it was just a small group," Heat veteran Udonis Haslem said. "Once you step on the court, it's like riding a bike. Your competitive juices get going. You kind of just fall back into your routine and it's kind of like you never left."

Heat star Jimmy Butler reportedly had basketball nets shipped to teammates who didn't have them earlier in the NBA's hiatus.
